For the connection of many different comunication and managing systems, on the "Serbian Railways" network, there are connecting telecomunication ways, like optical cables, combined pilot signal-telecomunication lines, local telecomunication cables, air lines and air pipes, as well as wireless radio lines, in frequency spectrum, made for the needs of the Railway. The connecting lines are projected for the functioning of numerous telecomunication systems, signal-safety systems, remote control and information transmission along the railway tracks. |
elecomunication systems, which are functioning through the telecomunication connection lines, are multi-channel telephone devices (VF devices), automatic telephone operators railway network (ŽAT-c network), multi-channel telegraphic devices, automatic telegraph operators and teleprinters network (ŽAT-g network), track telephones network with systems CDS and CDEv, ground-train radio link system, clock systems and systems for the information transmission.
There is also a great number of equipment which are not included in the network because of a small capacity of connection lines. That equipment functions separately in the stations, and are very important for the regular and safe transport and passenger informing. This kind of equipment is: recorder, interphone systems, loud-speaker systems, local radio-networks, office terminals, personal computers, visual-informational systems, closed-circle television systems, control and managing systems, as well as feeding devices for telecommunication systems. Most of these telecommunication devices are manufactured by: AEG, SIEMENS, LORENTZ, ASSMAN (now ATIS), PHILIPS, and ISKRA.
| Telephone connections are very important for planning and functioning of the traffic on the railways, and for regular and safe transport. Our organization unit occupies with regular and investing maintenance of telecommunication cables, telecommunication and informatics devices, in order to have regular and safe railway traffic and informing of passengers about the time table. |
