Mokra Gora is a frontier between the valleys of Kremna and Mokra Gora and divides the basins of Đetinja and Komešina, and between West Morava and Drina.

The characteristics of this region, which is made of sedimentary rocks and serpentines, caused numerous important differences between the sides and the bottom off these river valleys. Apart from the mountain parts, the climate is characterized by warm, dry summers and mild winters with other seasons hardly differenced.
